Bitcoin Zebra just doubled its payout.  Bitcoin Zebra pays out once an hour, with a minimum award for each payout of 2000 Satoshi.  Diligent use of the faucet can realistically yield 50,000 to 100,000 per week.

Description of Faucets Generally, and Bitcoin Zebra Specifically

Bitcoin Faucet that amuse me from the standpoint of the variety of pneumonic strategies employed.  A pneumonic strategy is an appearance, and content, of a thematic nature, which actually has nothing to do with the function of the fountain, helps the fountain user to remember the location of the fountain.  For those few Bitlanders that don't know, a bitcoin fountain consists of an internet site which gives away bitcoin free of charge, except for the work the user performs to make a request for the bitcoin.

The concept of the faucet seems simple enough.  However, many bitcoin faucets exist, and there are actually enough faucet features that you will want to discriminate between faucets, and use only a handful that suit you.  You should be aware that the owners of the faucets change the fountain characteristics on an ongoing basis.  Any written discussion as to any faucet necessarily governs only at, or about, the time the writing is created.

There are at least five faucet features about which you should be aware:  (a) cleanliness, (b) ease of use, (c) frequency of pay, (d) relative yield, and (e)  payout threshold.

Cleanliness refers to two different things.  First, cleanliness means that the page is relatively free of advertisements.  Collecting bitcoin from fountains is actually a difficulty and tiring activity.  Over time, a page with too many advertisements, visually displeasing advertisements, and/or aggressive advertisements will tend to hurt the eyes, or cause headaches.

Second, cleanliness requires and absence of viruses.  Faucets can convey viruses.  Over time, you learn what a dirty faucet tends to look like, and you avoid them.  Typically, you should focus on pages that a highly professional looking layout with a well integrated thematic design.

The sign in procedures can vary from very simple to exceedingly difficult.  Most faucets do employ recaptchas security devises.  Doing these 200 or 300 times in a row can get old real quickly.  A clean fountain that does not require that you do a recapta is a real pleasure.  However, there is a catch... these sites can afford the risk because the rate of payout is usually relatively low.

Some recaptchas are more difficult than others.  The novice will try to do the recaptcha presented.  A more experienced user can immediately spot the difficultly level of the one present, and press the double arrow for a replacement.  As performing the recaptcha wrong not only waste time and effort, but potentially could result in your being labeled a robot*, changing the recaptcha, rather than trying to solve a difficult one is a good idea.

*This happened to me one day.  I had a headache and could not see the recaptcha well, and did it incorrectly seven or eight time.  To this day, there are about half a dozen faucets that refuse to provide me bitcoin because of that episode.  These site block me off with the message that they know that I am a robot.  There are plenty of fountains out there, and that is no big loss.  You have to take these things with a bit of humor, and a certain number of these false accusations sometimes will give me an appetite to watch Robocop or Blade Runner.

There are other so called anti-robot security devises that can render a fountain more difficult.   Some have hidden or disguised buttons, or built in time delays between steps, etc.  A quick fountain may take 10 to 15 seconds to use.   Some fountains are so difficult that they actually confound the uses to the point where the user just leaves without claiming the bitcoin.  Once again, you learn to recognize the layout of confounding sites, so that you do not waste your time.

Frequency of pay refers to how often you can make a payout.  Typically a short payout is better than a long one, as you can claim more often, but if you do not have frequent access to a computer, you might want to use fountains with a longer payout.

The issue of rate of pay works alongside the issue of frequency of pay.  Rate of pay means how much can you earn from the fountain in a certain amount of time, assuming you attend diligently to the faucet.  There are fountains that pay well, and fountains that pay almost inconsequentially small amounts.

Payout threshold means how much bitcoin must you have claimed to your onsite account before the site will disburse the total amount to your specified wallet.  Some websites have thresholds so high that, as a practical matter, you can get the amount disbursed to your wallets.  Others actually charge a withdrawal fee.  As a rule of thumb, do not bother with any website for which your reasonable use of the faucet will not result in your having met the threshold within about a week.   Also, don't bother with any web site which charges any withdrawal fee.

Bitcoin Zebra is a clean web site, with a polished, professional appearance.  It does have a recaptcha, but it otherwise has no hitches to slow you down.  Provided you are ready to paste your address, posting your claim should take 15 seconds or less once you are used to the site.  You can make a claim once every hour.  The minimum payout is 2,000, but you have an equal chance of getting a payout of 4,000 or 6,000, so the average over time would be closer to 4,000.  This means that if you show up once a day for a week, you realistically would earns around 25,000 satoshi.  If you hit the fountain hard for an entire week, it is reasonable to think you will earn 50,000.

Bitcoin Zebra pays out automatically once a week, provided you have posted at least 20,000 satoshi in claims.  If you have not, you will not lose your claims, but they will roll over into the next week.

I like the Zebra theme, and an animated Zebra shows up on the screen once you have completed the inputs for your claim.  After a few seconds, if you have submitted your claim in less than an hour from your previous claim, the site will tell you that the Zebra is not hungry yet.  If you really think about it, that makes no sense, because you are the hungry one, and the Zebra is feeding you.

I call this a site of a different stripe because, even though it exhibits very basic faucet features, it is utterly devoid of any of the tricks which can sometimes hurt profitability.  If you put in the time, you get a good bottom line... that's it.

You can use the link above to check out the interesting layout and thematic characteristic of this web site.  Its pretty darn professional looking.  Bitlanders is good, but we all can use a little more... Bitcoin.  For a very small additional effort, you will pocket a nice supplement every week at Zebra Bitcoin.
