Awaking a forgotten legend

Posted on at

We’ve just installed our latest project: a drama told in both Welsh & English of the story of James Williams, proprietor in the 1890s to 1930s of the bonded whisky and beer warehouse in Narberth, now a museum.

Although a successful entrepreneur & philanthropist, James was also, with the benefit of modern medical diagnosis, bipolar and subject to wild mood swings from great optimism to suicidal depression. His story needed a sensitive dramatisation to make sense of his legacy to the town.

Filming around the town with a cast of both professional & amateur dramatics actors, our production made the front page of the local newspaper and is now one of the attractions of the newly restored Narberth Museum.
