Ayaz asks Imran to give up indecent language, politics of allegations

LAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Sardar Ayaz Sadiq on Tuesday said that results of NA-122 by-election had proved that no rigging was made in general election 2013 in the constituency.

Talking to journalists at his central secretariat, he urged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan to work for development and prosperity of Pakistan rather than pursuing his personal agenda.

He urged the PTI chief to come forward for putting Pakistan on road to progress and prosperity, elimination of terrorism, steering the country out of darkness; utilization of foreign investment on national development and overcome energy crisis.

He said that people of the constituency had once again shown a complete confidence in the leadership of the PML-N. He said that he had not only contested elections against Aleem Khan but also Imran Khan, PML-Q and other parties who were supporting the PTI.

He suggested that Imran Khan should shun the politics of sit-ins and protests which never produce any good for anyone. He said that Imran should give up the use of indecent language, and politics of baseless allegations.

Sadiq was de-seated by an election tribunal in August after it nullified his election from NA-122 in the general election 2013 and ordered re-election in the constituency. But Ayaz defeated Tehreek-e-Insaf's Aleem Khan by a close margin in the by-election on Sunday, receiving 74,525 votes as compared to 72,082 votes received by the PTI candidate.
