Baby Born Without Most Of His Skull Defies All Odds

Posted on at

Born without a large part of his skull and a very small brain, little Jaxon Emmett Buell has managed to live one year despite the expectations of all doctors and specialists. The little boy, nicknamed “Strong,” was born with a rare condition known as Microhydranencephaly, which affects 1 in 4,859 babies in the US each year. Most only live a few days, if that.

Jaxon’s parents, who are devout Christians, were advised by doctors to terminate the pregnancy at 23 weeks. But, the parents, who don’t believe in abortion, decided to give the boy a fighting chance. As such, Baby Jaxon was born weighing only 4 pounds on August 27, 2014. A fighter since his birth, the little boy continues to defy all odds and is truly a miracle.
