Ballon D'or Awards.
The ballon d'or awards will be held on 11th January 2016, in Zurich, Switzerland. Before we enter into the fray of nominees and arguments about them I would like to make a few facts clear about these awards. The ballon d'or are awards given annually to players who excel in the sport of football (soccer). There are different categories of awards given on this night. There is a panel of judges who decide as to who receives which award. These judges comprise of journalists, football commentators and former players.
The different categories of awards are:
-Best manager of a female Football team
-Best Female footballer of the year
-Best manager of a male football team
-Best male footballer of the year
-The pushkas award (The goal of the year)
There are a lot of arguments generated after these awards and a lot od drama created by the press every year as the main argument that is put forward by those not happy about the results is that the judges are not qualified enough or they are partial towards a certain player or a certain team.
Now the award that gets the most attention is the best male footballer of the year, here we have reached to our final three nominees and they are:-
-Christiano Ronaldo
-Lionel Messi
-and Neymar

Christiano Ronaldo is the current ruling best footballer of the year for the second year in a row, and he has already won the award twice in his professional footballing career, he hails from Portugal and is the captain of the Portuguese national football team and he plays for the Spanish team Real Madrid. (won no trophy last year)
Lionel Messi has a long history of winning this award as he has already won this award 4 times in a row, but it has been avoiding him for the past two years. Messi is the captain of the Argentina National football team and he plays for FC Barcelona in the Spanish lega. (won the treble with FC Barcelona - UEFA Champions league, Spanish la lega and the Spanish kings cup)
Neymar is generally new to all this as he has been nominated in these awards for the first time in the final three. An extremely talented young man with a lot of promise for his national Brazilian team after the last world cup horrifics. He plays along side Messi for FC Barcelona in the Spanish league. (won the treble with FC Barcelona - UEFA Champions league, Spanish la lega and the Spanish kings cup)
No one can argue about these three footballing greats and their talents but there are other players as well who were very competitive in the last year like, Eden Hazard, Luis Suarez, Gareth Bale, Zlatan Ibrahammovic and Robert Lewendovsky.
So lets wait until the 11th of next month and find out won wins the awards and then the arguments begin, as far as I am concerned I have made up my mind no matter what the other party brings forward.
