Banana Vendor

The attached image is not the real one.  I just copied it from google to make a clear understanding to my readers.  Reason I forgot to brought my cellphone.  But it looks like this one.

It happen this morning.  I went for a jog with my sister and niece from home to the market.  We bought vegetables and fruits.  Until we reached to a banana vendor.  He is not an old man, perhaps just around 40's - 45's.  He has his separate cart of bananas and his two sons has their own too, near him.  We were about to bought a bunch from him, and asked the amount per kilogram.  He'd given us the price, so we gave him the bunch to weigh.  When he given us the wrong weigh and price, we asked him once more and if his weighing scale is correct.  His son, about the age of 10 asked him to weigh it again, I peep on the scale to confirmed the exact weigh.  Indeed, the man was wrong.  When the son muttered and told us that his father don't know how to read the scale and give the price, I told the young boy to guide their father and not to leave him, rather than murmuring.  After paying, we went back on our way home.

At home, I can't figure out myself thinking and pitied the vendor.  Perhaps, he didn't knew how to read nor write.  Perhaps, he want himself to prove to his son that he can support them no matter what and that was why he was showing off his best to them.  All parents are showing their best to their kids.  Whether they are educated or not.  It's their dream to proved to their siblings that they are doing all their best for the family.  Only, we didn't saw their effort.  Oftentimes, children realized it late, the efforts and sacrifices of our parents.  Instead of mocking them because they didn't know anything or they did something wrong, why don't we hold their hands, sit down in a corner, and talk to them.  They have many things to tell us.  They need our respect, our understanding, our ears to listen to their pain.

I am writing this, not to mock every child.  But to enlighten us all.  Because I also came from a parents who are like them.  We are all educated.  Then, let us all be educated enough to show it first to our parents.  They are more valuable than anyone in this world (excluding our Creator).  Whether we like it or not, we will all become like them.  Because we are our parents sons and daughters.
