Press in Bangladesh have reported that exports of leather and leathergoods reached $1.13 billion in 2014-15, 1% more than in the previous financial year.

The total fell short of the government’s export target of $1.4 billion.

A revised target of $1.2 billion has been set for 2015-2016.
