being a mom

Being a mom is tiring yet fulfilling.  It is a 24/7 job, no day-offs, no sick leave or vacation leave, always overtime.  If you are a responsible mom, you will do everything for your kids' welfare.  Thinking about them first before thinking about oneself.

From the moment you start to carry your baby in your womb, you giving birth, watching your baby's firsts-- first smile, first word, first step, first tooth and many other firsts, the feeling is just so overwhelming that you cannot express it directly into words.  The moment they wake up up to the time they sleep and while they are sleeping, you see to it that they are comfortable.  When they go to school and meet new friends, they start to deal socially.  You never want to see them hurt, you are the first one who is hurt and very affected when they get hurt whether physically or emotionally.  You just want to protect them with your life.

Admit it or not, there will come the time that you have to let them go.  For them to learn and lead their own lives and you by that time will be guiding them. After all your hardwork, tears, smiles and laughter and all the things you have taught, the values you instill while they grow up they just have to move on and be successful in their life and then have their own family.

That is where all your efforts become fulfilling when you see them succeed in their lives.  All their smiles become your smile and all their tears your tears.  And who do they have to thank for? It's you, mom. Together with their dad of course.  But mostly it is you who saw the smallest details of their growing up years.

The payment for every overtime--- their success and their love towards you and the whole family.
