                        Biography Of Amir Khan

Born on 14th March 1965, Aamir Khan is the son of film producer Tahir Hussain and Zeenat Hussain. Aamir first faced the camera as a child artist at the tender age of 8 years. The movie was yaadon ki baraat, which went on to be a great success.

Aamir tasted fame with the success of his film “Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak” which made him a known face overnight. Since then he has worked in numerous other films such as Raakh, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin  (1991),  Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992), Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke (1993) and Rangeela (1995).

Being a stickler for perfection, Aamir Khan believed in giving quality work. Therefore for years he would work on only one film per year. This got him a lot of appreciation.

After being known for his chocolate boy looks and lover boy roles, Aamir progressed to more meaningful roles such as Lagaan. This film won him international allocates and the film was appreciated by the international critics to such an extent that it almost won him a position in the Oscars.

Following this Aamir also played memorable roles in his movie “Mangal Pandey: The Rising. This movie was based on Indian freedom fighter Mangal Pandey. In 2006 Aamir starred in the movie Rang De Basanti. This movie created a revolution and inspired millions of youth to fight against corruption. Fanaa was also another successful film based on the love life of a terrorist. This movie also struck a chord with the masses. Tare Zameen Par, was another movie which compelled people to accept special children and work to help dyslexic children to fit into mainstream life.

His other movies include 3 idiots, which was a satire on the Indian education system.

Recently, the star has ventured to the small screen, with a serial Satyamev Jayate which is a talk show. This show has created ripples and touches issues such as child sexual abuse, female foeticide and a host of other issues.

Aamir is the father of three kids. His son Junaid and daughter Ira from his first marriage to Reena Dutta. He was married for 15 years before filing for divorce. Post which the custody of his two children went to his wife Reena. Aamir later on went on to marry Kiran Rao in 2005. Just recently Aamir became a proud father of a son whom he named Azad Rao Khan.

Throughout his career, there is one thing which never changed for this superstar. That is his quench for perfection, for which he goes out of his way and takes a lot of pains.

Personal Life:

Aamir fell in love with Reena. He proposed to her the day he turned 21, and she accepted. But apparently, there was opposition since she was from a Hindu family and him from a devout Islamic one. So, they eloped, got married on April 18, 1986 and returned to their homes.

In December 2002, Khan filed for divorce, ending the 15-year marriage. Reena took custody of both children. On 28 December 2005, Khan married Kiran Rao who had been an assistant director to Ashutosh Gowariker during the filming of Lagaan
