Bizarre Foods: Andrew Zimmern

Posted on at

've picked up a new addiction. This show. It's from the Travel Channel and I've pretty much been glued to the TV watching it streaming on Netflix.

It's less about the food to me and more about the cultures and how the people react to some American being in their space.

I'm so moved by the gracious nature of some of these lands. Lands that I would never normally get even a glimpse of, like Syria, Uganda, Nicaragua - to name a few.

[The first thing I did, as a New Yorker - was skip the episode about New York..../laughs]

If you have a free minute though and are curious about different cultures and/or their foods - you should definitely check this show out.

I'd suggest starting with the Madagascar one. It's impressive all the way around.
