Celebration of Diwali

Diwali is a Hindu festival. It is the festival with lots of light. It is a significance of the victory of good people on the dreadful, superior on wicked, brightness over darkness. When Lord Ram had came back to Ayodhya after the victory in the war with Ravan. People in the Ayodhya were very happy and to welcome them they had lighten up the lamps and celebrated that day. From that day, not only Hindu but Jains and Sikhs too celebrate that day as Diwali. The name Dipavali is a derived name from the fusion of two Sanskrit words as “Dipa” means lamp and “Avali” means a series. Diwali celebration consist of 5 days, which are namely DhanTeras, Naraka Chaturdasi, Diwali, New Year, Bhai bij. Before the arrival of Diwali, People clean and renovate their house. They go for shopping. They buy new clothes, new appliances, many other items, gifts like Sweets, dry fruits and many more for their belongings. They decorate their houses in a good manner. They draw rangoli- A kind of art and other beautiful designs on the floor. They lighten up the lamps, Different kind of lightings. Pujas are offered to Lakshmi ji, Ganesha, Saraswati and Kuber for superior healthiness and prosperity. After the worship, People go outside and enjoy the festival by lighting up Crackers. Diwali is also celebrated in rest of the world. This way Diwali the best festival all over the India.
