57 teams from 17 countries and 20 groups of foreign observers, including representatives of Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, have gathered in Russia to participate in the International Army Games.

The exercises are being held along the Alabino range within the Moscow region from August 1 to 15.

China’s PLA has sent 531 soldiers to participate in the event.

While other countries are using weapons and equipment provided by the Russia army, the PLA has decided to use their own equipment during the event.

We are here to test performance of our equipment and how proficient the soldiers are using their equipment. We used our 96A tank last year, and we are still using it this year at the competition,” said Liu Ying, the head of the Chinese delegation.
