City by Andrew Barham

I have worked on a number of films this year, from all genres, and working in a lot of different roles.

One film i worked on was City, by Andrew Baraham, a young talented film director who made a film completely different to any other film I worked on. His film is based on the idea of hyper-lapsing so the shoot was really chilled. On the one day I worked with him we did about 7 or 8 hours just taking a picture every step, down a road.

The time and effort Andy put in to his film is incredible, not just the days on end of filming every chance he got a day or night off, but the time and effort learning and editing how to make these still images into a film.

A still preview for his film City

All i did on the shoot was mark off where the tripod was so that we knew how far we had come and if we had to move we knew where we had to place the tripod again. The final outcome of this film was stunning, a real work of art, showing the real side to city. In his own words Andy says "A slow paced look at the fast paced city" and that is exactly what his film is.

A stunning film to of been a part of, so for everyone who would like to see his film, here is the link: https://vimeo.com/92782107

Thanks
Dom
