De Aar South Africa

Posted on at

De Arr is an area in South Africa that is well worth a visit.  If you are ever in SA.

De Aar experiences semi-desert and desert weather. The summers are hot and dry and the winters cold and frosty. The average midday temperatures range from 16°C in June to 30.3°C in January. July is the coldest month when the mercury drops to 0.3°C on average during the night and early morning.

De Aar normally receives most of its rainfall during the autumn months, with an average 45mm rainfall in March compared with an average 1mm rainfall in August.

The proposed wind farm site is situated outside of De Aar, with De Aar being the only town close to the wind farm. It is adjacent to the railway line, together with national N10 road, R48 and R348 roads.

Since it is a rural area, the local noise level is likely to be low. Traffic noise together with human activities, is expected to dominate the local noise environment.
