DEAD SEA (Part 2)

Temperature

On summer days its temperature is higher than 40 degree centigrade. On summer days when water in evaporated from from the sea it left the salt on its shore. No fish is living in dead sea because of high salt amount.

Salts and its concentration in dead sea

Its water is 10 times saltier than the ocean water.

Salt is more concentrated when water evaporates from the dead sea.

Dead sea water includes 26 types of minerals including:

  • Magnesium, Calcium, Sodium, Potassium, Bromine, Chlorine and Sulfur.
  • 12 elements  are more specific available in the Dead Sea are which are not available in other sea or ocean.

Comparison of Dead Sea salts with Ocean Salts

  • Chlorine is  found in 224.9 mg/l while normal sea water contains 29 mg/l of chlorine concentration
  • Magnesium  is found in 44.0 mg/l while normal sea water contains 01.35mg/l of magnesium concentration
  • Sodium   is found at 40.10 mg/l while normal sea water contains 10.50 mg/l of sodium concentration.
  • Calcium   is found at 17.20 mg/l while normal sea water contains 00.40 mg/l of  calcium  concentration.
  • Potassium   is found in 0.765 mg/l while normal sea water contains 00.39 mg/l of potassium  concentration
