DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF AN ANTENNA FOR 4G/LTE MOBILE HANDHELD DEVICES

      4G/LTE is a standard for wireless data communications and an evolution of the 3G GSM/UMTS standards. Nowadays, it has started to become popular in the world.

Along with the development of handheld devices which support 4G/LTE, the antennas have also been developed to meet this demand. Recently, the microstrip antennas have been widely used because of their advantages such as: small size, light weight, easy in design and fabrication with low cost.

In our research project, a microstrip antenna for 4G/LTE mobile handheld devices operating at popular 4G/LTE band (1800MHz and 2600MHz) has been designed, simulated and fabricated. The measurement has been taken to validate the simulation results.
