Dia del Maestro

"You know how I can tell you are falling asleep in my class even though you have your hair in your face? Your pen isn´t moving." Mr. Smith´s History class. It was everything except boring. He tried just about anything to make History class interesting for us and at some point, entertaining, and honestly, I don´t know why I was falling asleep in his class that day.

On May 15, Mexico celebrates El Dia del Maestro, Teacher Day. I would like to congratulate every teacher here in Mexico and those around the world especially the ones I had growing up. Ms. Crosland, Mr. Davis, Mr. Smith, and every other teacher whose name´s I sadly don´t remember. I thank you. I thank you for making us think, write, and work our butts off. Thank you for those countles nights you spent reading our essays, grading our exams, checking homework, and lesson planning. Thank you for all the memories and the advice. Thank you for believing in us.
