Hooray for gas prices. While food prices are through the roof these days, at least for the time being Americans are finally getting a little bit of relief at the gas pump. Today I bought gas for both vehicles for just $2.87 a gallon, and that's a far cry from where we were just a year ago today when gas prices looked like they were headed for $5 a gallon easily.

I am not certain how long the relief will last, but for now I will simply enjoy the short-term savings. Now if we could just get the meat and other grocery prices to come down, plus see some more improvement in jobs and the rest of the economy, we might actually be looking at some decent GDP growth in 2015.
