Guava Fruit and Nutrition Facts      


     Guavas are tropical fruits and very high in nutrients it is sometimes labeled as super fruit. The fruit is soft when ripe and it has semi - hard edible seeds inside. There are varieties of guavas which depends on what area or country they grow.



     Guavas are rich in nutrients. It is low in fats and calories and is packed with Vitamin C., A, and lycopene. It is also a rich source of dietary fiber, potassium and B-complex vitamins. It has also minerals like magnesium, copper and manganese.


     In the tropical regions guavas are available all year round. It's best to buy the organic ones. I am one of those who are blessed to have guava trees in our farm. I can always picked it and eat it fresh and I know it is organic. I liked the guava juice as well. Really delicious and healthy.Here in the Philippines we include guavas  in our food like in Sinigang (Filipino soup or stew) just add the fruit to give it a tangy taste.  I like to cut the guavas in cubes and add it to fresh salads. Healthy food.


     Guavas are simply one of the best.  One of my favorite fruits.
