Harappan Civilization

We get an account of Origin and Extent of Harappan Civilization from the analysis of the ruins found at different places of the Indus valley and Mesopotamia. Harrapan Civilization is an Archaeological site in Punjab, eastern Pakistan, about 24 km west of Sahiwal. The city is believed to have had as many as 23,500 residents and occupied over 250 acres at its greatest extent. It is clear that Harappan society was not entirely peaceful, with the human skeletal remains demonstrating some of the highest rates of injury found in South Asian prehistory. Most of us find ourselves thinking about the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt when we stumble upon the topic of ancient civilizations. The Harappan Civilization flourished along the banks of the Indus River in what is now Pakistan. Harappan civilization had a larger population than other. Many attempts have been made to decipher the Harappan language. The ancient civilization belonged to the Bronze Age. The people of that time had great engineering skills. They have discovered many metals. Their town planning was also exceptional. They used bricks to build their buildings. Their main profession were farming and trading. They used to worship animals and birds. In addition, lord of cattle “ Pashupati”.
