He Rips Apart A Baby Diaper. How He Repurposes It? My Mind Has Been Blown

Innovative ways to keep your plants grow healthy and hydrated using disposable diapers.

I never would have thought a diaper could be used for this, but Grant Thompson aka the “King Of Random,” demonstrates how ordinary disposable diapers can be used to help your plants stayhydrated and healthy.

Diapers contain fiber-rich hydrogel, which is environmentally friendly and absorbs water very efficiently. By combining the diaper gel with potting soil, you produce a mixture that will slowly release water to keep plants hydrated for those of us who have trouble remembering to water our plants. It will also absorb excess water from over-watering.

In the video below, Thompson begins the demonstration with a disposable baby diaper, adult diapers work just as well. Next, he saturates the diaper with water, which expands the absorbent gel core. He then mixes the fiber-rich hydrogel with equal parts all-purpose potting soil, making sure plants have just as much hydration as they need.

Watch how diapers can help your plants grow healthy and hydrated:

I had never heard of this diaper hack before, but after watching, I foresee a huge improvement in my houseplants’ long life. You can really save time, money, and water while allowing a grace period if you happen to forget to take care of your plants. Plus, it’s a brilliant way to use extra diapers that your babymay have outgrown.
