Microsoft decided that there will no longer be updates for it's best selling Operating System, Windows XP, even though 24% of people are still using it. Before even more people were using it, but because they were afraid for their security they moved to newest versions of Windows or Linux.

However, there are some people who still love Windows XP and they decided that they won't be changing it for some time, and that is why there are some developers who are working outside of Microsoft to ensure that this OS will get more updates. I even heard that there will be a Service Pack 4 and that they will be updating Windows until 2019.
