Loot Crate Offers Monthly Surprise Geek Wear

Posted on at

A friend of mine sent me a website called Loot Crate I wanted to share with all of you. A lot of these business models have been popping up all over the web (the one I see the most popular is something called Bark Box which gives your dog treats and toys in the mail on a monthly basis), but this one targets me fairly well. I'm going to give it a shot for 3 months and you're welcome to join me. This is Loot Crate.

How it works is you sign up for a 1, 3, or 6 month plan where Loot Crate will send you a crate filled with geek loot including toys, collectibles, clothes, and DVDs. The subject matter can range anywhere from Dr. Who to X-Men and you're just along for the ride.

Ideally to the consumer this model presents a fun element of surprise we latch on to quickly and it wouldn't really be a problem to save a few bucks along the way. The only problem is that some people get fed up with the surprise element quickly when it really doesn't work out for them, but that's the entire point. Websites like Tee Fury have done really well with this model so I'm a bit excited to see what comes out of Loot Crate.

Maybe we'll give away some of the loot they send us on Film Annex? That would be neat right? I'll share my first loot crate with you guys when it arrives!
