The present president of the International Cricket Council (ICC), Mustafa Kamal of Bangladesh had felt insulted when he was not allowed as the ICC chief to award the World Cup trophy to the victorious Australia in Sunday';s final in Melbourne and instead ICC Chairman N Srinivasan of India got the opportunity to present the trophy to the winning team. Being furious, he has resigned as the president of the ICC.
