I haven't played fantasy football though since I moved to Las Vegas and abandoned my team. Most of the same guys in my fantasy baseball league (from Massachusetts) also play in a fantasy football league, and I was in that league for three seasons. I'm just not as big into football as I am with baseball. As such I didn't want to make the trips across the country for the fantasy football drafts like I do for my fantasy baseball drafts. While plenty of fantasy leagues are drafted on line, we do ours live and it's so much more enjoyable to get together for the event. It's comparable to Christmas. Since I wasn't going to be able to attend those Christmas-like events, I just wasn't going to be able to enjoy playing fantasy football with the same kind of passion, so I stopped playing.

Anyway, I am proud to say that I did win a fantasy football championship during one of the three seasons I played. That memorable season was in 2004. I had Duante Culpepper as my quarterback that year and he was a beast. I also had Shaun Alexander and Tiki Barber as my running backs and they had huge seasons. My wide receivers that year included Darrel Jackson and Roy Williams who were solid too.

Since then I have kind of lost touch with football. Though instead of playing fantasy football, I have entered a massive Las Vegas wide football pool the past couple years and I expect I will again this year.
