Na Zdrowie

Every single time I need to make a toast, or am around a group that is going to drink together, I make everyone say, "Na Zdrowie"

[enunciated: naz - dro - vyah ... roll the "r"]

Amongst a great many things, I do have ancestry firmly placed in Poland. My last name alone is testimony to that.

[Credit to the first person who knows what Noga translates to - without looking it up!]

And, seriously, I will go around a table and teach everyone in the entire room how to say it correctly.

I'm surrounded by a lot of Italians in NY, who say, "Salud" - if left to their own accord. I hear, "Cheers" often. And yet, while that's all good and fine, I still make everyone say, "Na Zdrowie"

What is it that you say, that you can teach me?
