Narrated from Ali (may Allah be supportive in the midst of than him) that a mukaatib (slave who had entered into a concurrence of manumission) came to him and said: I am unable to repay my manumission; sustain me.
He said: Shall I not reveal you some words which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah act footnote to him) taught me? And if you have debt considering the mountain of Seer, Allah will pay it off for you. He said: Say:

"Allahummak-finee bihalalika AAan haramik, wa-aghninee bifadlika AAamman siwak."
(O Allah, suffice me considering what You have permissible hence that that I have no dependence of that which You have prohibited, and make me independent of means by Your bounty for that excuse that I have no dependence of anyone plus You).
(Al-Tirmidhi, 3563)
