NASA Create New Space Shuttle

WASHINGTON - American Space Agency (NASA), in the near future will make the new spacecraft. Competent authority has approved the formulation phase transition (concept) to the phase of realization (development) on Wednesday.

Charles Bolden, NASA administrator, called it a "human scientific exploration trip to Mars". Space Launch System, or SLS, is the first exploration vehicle designed to go beyond Earth orbit since the Apollo program.

NASA says this will be the most powerful rocket in the world as excerpted Mashable, Friday (08/29/2014). With a haulage capacity reached 130 metric tons, SLS can carry two to six astronauts aboard the Orion spacecraft heading.

SLS is also capable of transporting all the equipment and fuel needed to support missions to the Moon or Mars.

"We are fully committed to build rockets and other support systems that will bring us on that journey," said Bolden.

The project is expected to cost less than $ 7 billion. If all goes according to plan, NASA will send this plane into space in 2021.

This is the first step for further research, because the space agency also has a mission to send a manned spacecraft to Mars in 2030.
