National Fried Scallops Day

Posted on at

Today, October 2nd, is National Fried Scallops Day.

Scallops are a type of bivalve mollusc found all over the world. They are likewise eaten all over the world. Outside the US, scallops are frequently served whole.

The shellfish comes in many different sizes, from the small to the huge.

Scallops can be covered in breadcrumbs and deep fried, or left as is and shallow fried with other ingredients, if you want to fry them. Larger scallops make a pretty substantial dish by themselves.
