Old TV Shows - Samson and Goliath

Now here is an oldie that a lot of you probably wont remember, "Samson & Goliath".
Samson & Goliath was one of the Hanna-Barbera superhero cartoons that debuted during the wave of cartoons caused by the success of the Batman TV show in 1966.
Everybody wanted a hero and everybody scrambled to get them out there as fast as possible.
Although it was originally called, "Samson & Goliath", the name was changed to "Young Samson" to avoid confusion with another TV show, "Davey and Goliath".

There were twenty-six 12-minute episodes made and the show followed the adventures of a young boy named Samson (I dont know if that was his first or last name) and his dog, Goliath.
Samson had a secret.
By slamming the wristbands that he wore together, he was transformed into an adult, superhero version of Samson from the Bible.
And then when he clanged them together a second time, Goliath was turned into a giant super-powered lion.
I know...dog to cat but hey...it was the 60s.
And Goliath was a bad guy in the Bible but....shut up.

Anyway, though Samson got the Lion's share of the strength (see what I did there?), he could fly and was able to project shock waves (I assume an allusion to Samson bringing down the temple maybe?), Goliath got all the cool stuff.
Super strength, sonic roar, claws could cut through steel, prehensile tail, heat vision, flight and energy blasts.
That cat/dog hit the jackpot.

Samson was voiced by Tim Matheson, who would go on years later to play Eric "Otter" Stratton in National Lampoon's Animal House.
Goliath was "voiced" by either Mel Blanc or Don Messick, there seems to be some question there.
