On Making Wishes for Our Children

Posted on at

Last week, I wrote a post for World Moms Blog about my birthday wish for my children. Lately, as I watch the evening news filled with updates about senseless crimes and violence -- including the ongoing fighting in Zamboanga -- I find myself struggling not to feel worried and fearful. "What kind of world are we living in now? How can I protect my kids from all these?" Questions like these fill my head every now and then.

I realize now that as much as I wish for every good thing for my children, I can only do so much. Everything else I leave in God's hands.

Just as I have my wishes, hopes and dreams for my kids, so do the following moms, whom I am blessed to consider "sisters" in our community of work-at-home moms (Manila Work-at-Home Moms on Facebook). Read on and see if you have similar wishes:

"For my daughter to grow up knowing and loving God and to be healthy and be able to live a happy life."
