Partition The Worst Decision

The real separation of British India into two new dominions was proficient according 3 June Plan or Mountbatten Plan. Mountbatten announced it at a press conference on 3 June 1947, when the date of independence was also announce 15th August 1947. The plan's had some major points. All religion assemblies would meet and vote for partition. If a simple mass of either group wanted the partition, then provinces would be divided. Sindh has to take its personal decision. India will be independent on 15 August 1947. The separation of Bengal was rejected. A boundary commission should be set up in case of Partition.

The political leaders accepted the Plan on 2 June itself. The Muslims demanded for a separate state, which was approved. Inside British India, the border between India and Pakistan was determined. In addition, both the nations were divided on 14 August 1947. India got its Independence on 15 August 1947 as declared by Mountbatten in his speech on 3rd of June.

But, did it go well? The answer is No. millions of people  of India and Pakistan lost their homes. More than 83000 women were raped brutally. Thousands of children were killed. Both the sides’ bared huge loss. Partition was the worst decision of the Leaders of British India now India and Pakistan.
