Pastel in Camiguin

Posted on at

I have eaten this type of bread few years back, but I just recently remembered about it. Usually it is available on one of the leading malls here in our country specifically SM Malls, yet I seldom go there.

So far, it is the yummiest I've ever tasted, maybe because I really do love the filling it has inside.
That bread I'm talking about is called " Vjandep Pastel", commonly produced in Cagayan de Oro. But I'm not making this post to promote any product at all.
I just recently remember about it as it was featured from one of our local news here last week.

And that bread is one of the few which I really find delicious.
The bread is very soft and the filling inside is made of "yema" (I can't find the English term for it) but it is a heated condensed milk with purely egg yolk.

Maybe one of this days, I'll go to SM and find this type of bread. lol
The cravings are up again. I also wanted to buy some when I'll go home in the province maybe this weekend. Let's just see.

Have you heard about this bread? Well, you can Google it if you want. lol ^_^
