Who of us are not been to the Puerto Princesa city ???Do you know the Puerto Princesa is known as one of the greenest and cleanest city. Why do we need to come in Puerto Princesa City?First,we have many travel destinations, the clean beaches and virgin forest.Aside from that, we have conducted an annual tradition and we really be done yearly.During the month of June, the feast of  st.john was conducted yearly. We call it "PISTA Y ANG KAGUEBAN".It comes from the dialect  of cuyonin that means "FEAST OF THE FOREST".It was a first launched in June 1991.In the same month the United Nations declared the month of June is the month of the environment.

Year 2009,2 million was reported to be present in such activities. It is initiated by our Mayor Edward Hagedorn with his constituents. Also included here each barangay captain scope of our city. Also included are all employees of the government and even the private sector will also take part in on this activities. Also included in the activities that the school and college students.Every year more and more participating in this annual planting.

The planting is done in Irawan watershed in brgy.Irawan, Puerto Princesa City. This watershed is the source of potable water for the whole city. Not just one kind of tree is planted here, but different types of trees. There galayong, nara, mahogany, mangiumgmelia and a lot more. After implantation, the city governments has prepared a simple pleasure to all participants. There are some Filipino artists from the Manila offers the patriotic songs.Even miss earth goes on here in Puerto Princesa to join implantation.

And even Noel Cabangon the famous patriotism would not pass up the opportunity to offer its patriotic songs. This is one of his songs offerings.

Because of  this, annual tradition of the Puerto Princesa city lead by our mayor Hagedorn, many  children are taught how to love our environment. Because of the constant calamity coming to Philippines, Puerto Princesa remained safe from floods and earthquakes. Because of the trees planted by our ancestors to the present. Hopefully not just here in Puerto Princesa has implemented such as tree planting, I hope the whole Philippines and even in in the other country. A whatever calamity will come, we ensured that we always safe, Even heavier rainfall. Because we have a saying that "when implanted, you harvest."And one day not only here in Puerto Princesa is faint and greenest mountains, but in the entire world. We love the world in which we reside temporarily.
