President Obama Is Hugging Kim Jong-Un In This Photo

They are not impersonators. A very-real President Barack Obama can be seen hugging an equally real Kim Jong-Un. But is this really what it appears to be?

Did the Iran nuclear deal inspire friendship between the United States and North Korea? Has Kim Jong-Un finally realized that war is not the only solution to international conflicts? Has he finally embraced peace?

Of course not.

Then why is Kim locked in a loving embrace with President Barack Obama in this photo? Doesn’t North Korea consider the U.S. one of its two biggest enemies (the other one being South Korea)?

This tender bro hug, sadly, isn't meant to be. It is quite obviously a masterpiece of photo-editing software. The image posted above took Reddit by storm after user TurboCancer shared it on the social networking website.

It is a tea advertisement from China depicting President Obama and the North Korean leader opting for peace instead of war.

The concept behind the ad is actually quite clever. Its translation, according to another Redditor, says: "After you drink (name of tea) the people of the world will be in harmony."

There’s also a cell phone case available of this photo – in case you were looking for one:

Unfurtunately, the reality is far from what is being imagined here. Just in July, North Korea said another war on the Korean peninsula would leave “no Americans alive” to sign a surrender document, during a speech that marked the 62nd anniversary of the armistice of the Korean War.

"Gone forever is the era when the United States blackmailed us with nukes. Now the United States is no longer a source of threat and fear for us and we are the very source of fear for it,” Kim was quoted as saying on the occasion.
