 It lives mainly in the eastern states of the U.S., as well as in the south-eastern Canada, and Mexico. Male coloration bright crimson, with black “mask” on his face. In females predominate color grayish-brown tones, with reddish feathers on the wings, breasts and tuft, with a less pronounced “mask” than the male.
