Whoever saw and recognized his own flaws, has made rapid progress and galloped with ten horses in bettering himself. There is no worse flaw in one's soul, than the thought of superiority! One supposes himself to be perfect and because of this thought, does not fly towards the Lord of Glory. The fault of Iblis was this thinking; “I am better”, and this disease is in the soul of every human. Though one regard himself as humble and broken, know that it is just clear water on the surface, but, there are feces under the stream. (Rumi Masnavi 1/3210)
