Salad for tea.

Posted on at

We got back in quite late and I made Brie on toast for lunch. because we ate lunch at about 2 pm neither of us felt very hungry at tea preparation time.

I suggested that we just have a salad and so made some cous cous, chopped a stick of celery each, a few olives, some home made pickled cabbage and a few slices of chorizo each. I have enough cous cous for tomorrow too so will have to think of a meal to go with it.

I really enjoyed having a nice light fresh meal so think we will be having similar a couple of times a week if husband agrees.

He is feeling a bit gouty today and we are not sure what has caused this. He has to be careful what he eats until it subsides. We have a list of foods that help when he has an attack and ones to avoid so we will be eating a lot of fresh salad type things until it goes away.
