Shahid Kapoor is an Indian film actor. He got his acting talent from his father Pankaj Kapoor, who is a great actor. Shahid started his career by appearing in music videos and advertisements. Shahid made his Bollywood debut with "Ishq Vishk" in 2003 and also won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. This success was followed by films like Fida (2004) and Shikhar (2005). He had his first major commercial success with Sooraj R. Barjatya's 'Vivah'. Later, he was nominated in Filmfare Best Actor Award category for Jab We Met (2007) and Kaminey (2009). Recently he has seen in Haider movie along with Shraddha Kapoor. Now he will be seen in upcoming movie Shaandaar opposite Alia Bhatt.
Biography
Shahid Kapoor, the 'Chocolate boy' of Bollywood was born on February 25' 1981 to Pankaj Kapoorr and actress-cum-classical dancer Neelima Azeem. He did his schooling in Gyaan Bharathi, Delhi until 4th grade and then shifted to Raajhans Vidyalaya, Mumbai. He got trained in dancing at Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts (SDIPA). Shahid Kapoor was also seen as a background dancer in the movie "Taal". Later he did few commercials like Pepsi and appeared in a music video "Aankhon Me Tera Hi Chehra" by the Aryans along with Hrishita Bhatt.
In Shaandaar Movie
Shahid Kapoor will soon be seen in upcoming movie Shaandaar. Shaandaar is an upcoming Hindi romantic comedy film, directed by Vikas Bahl. Produced by Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena and Karan Johar jointly under the banner of Phantom Films and Dharma Productions. It also stars Alia Bhatt opposite Shahid Kapoor. Pankaj Kapur and Sanjay Kapoor will be seen in supporting roles. Shaandar as "India's first destination wedding film". Principal photography began in August 2014 in Leeds, and the film is scheduled for release in 2015.

Shahid Kapoor distinguishes himself as a vegetarian. He is legally Khattar, his stepdad Rajesh Khattar's surname, which he has written on all important legal documents. When he was a young child, his mother married Rajesh Khattar. Though Rajesh and his mother are now divorced, Kapoor has adopted the surname to remember the man who raised him.

Shahid Kapoor has been confirmed to do the Bollywood remake of Ram Charan Teja's Magadheera. The film marked the debut of the Southern superstar in films and it went on to become the highest grossing Telugu films. Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh didn't pick up the role offered, it was Shahid Kapoor who finally signed on the dotted line. Earlier, there were just rumours that the two might come together for the flick, however, now the news is confirmed that the two will officially star opposite each other. In an interview, the director informed that, "We have come across a script that both, Kareena and I love. We will be working together on that. It will happen very soon." Shahid-Kareena who have appeared in flicks namely Chupke Chupke, 36 China Town, Fida were last seen in Imtiaz Ali's superhit Jab We Met.
