Morata scores lone goal; Piqué, Busquets, Iniesta and Alba all start for Del Bosque 

Pedro played the final half hour while Ter Stegen did not play in the Germany U21 team's friendly .

Spain won 1–0 over Ukraine in Euro 2016 qualifying on Friday night thanks to a single goal by Morata in a duel featuring Barça players Piqué, Busquets, Iniesta and Alba, who left with an injury in the 76th minute. Pedro played the last half hour.

Iniesta shines

Vicente del Bosque opted for a very talented midfield with Sergio, Koke, Isco, Iniesta and Silva. Iniesta made some beautiful plays to wow the crowd at the Sánchez Pizjuán while Koke was the playmaker on Morata’s goal, which came on 29 minutes.

Spain fully dominated the first half while after the break Ukraine improved and had a good opportunity to draw. Spain got a solid victory despite the injury to Jordi Alba, who had to retire with a muscular issue after sprinting into the opponent's area. Minutes before Pedro had entered the game in place of Morata.

In other international action, Barça goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen did not play in a 2–2 draw between under-21 teams from Germany and Italy.
