Spain hope to wrap up spot at Euro 2016

Four FC Barcelona players have been summoned to action by head coach Vicente del Bosque for Friday's game against Luxembourg.

The Spanish national team are back in action on Friday night for their penultimate qualifying match for theUEFA Euro 2016. Head coach Vicente del Bosque has called on four FC Barcelona players as La Roja look to stamp their ticket for the continental championship, to be held in France next summer.

Spain currently lead Group C with 21 points, two more than Slovakia and five more than Ukraine. With a sizeable goal difference in hand, Del Bosque's side need only a draw in one of their final two qualifiers in order to clinch a spot at the big dance.

Tonight's game is in Logroño, in north-central Spain, where the two-time defending European champions will face a Luxembourg who are second to last in the group with just 4 points. Blaugrana defenders GerardPiquéJordi Alba and Marc Bartra, and midfielder Sergio Busquets could all see some action. The game kicks off at 8.45pm CET at the Estadio Las Gaunas.

Spain then close out qualifying for Euro 2016 against third-place Ukraine on Monday 12 October. Ukraine may still have a chance to qualify, depending on Friday's results.
