Spicy chaat

Chaat is one of most favourite appetizers of all the Pakistani’s. Some people used to make chaat with Paprhi but I personally don’t like it. Today I am going to share with you a simple easy tome make, less time consumer and very spicy chaat recipe. Please do give a try to this one and I hope you will love it. This recipe is for 7-8 people, you can skip yogurt it’s optional, instead of yogurt you can also add lemon juice I will give a unique taste to chaat. All ingredients which are going to be used are very simple and are easily available on your cooking counter, are enlisted below just follow them to make a really spice, healthy and delicious chaat at home.

INGREDIENTS

  • Chana/chickpeas                                                                1 cup boiled
  • Red beans                                                                            1 cup boiled
  • Onion                                                                                    2 medium size
  • Tomatoes                                                                             2 ripe
  • Green coriander                                                                   1 bunch
  • Green chillies                                                                        1-2 chopped
  • Potatoes                                                                                 4-5 boiled
  • Chat masala                                                                           1 pack
  •  Salt                                                                                         to taste
  • Lemon  juice                                                                           2-3 table spoons

METHOD

  • Finally chop onion, tomatoes and leave a side.
  • Make sure boiled potatoes, red beans boiled and chickpeas boiled are cooled.
  • Add boiled chickpeas, boiled red beans and boiled potatoes in chopped onion and chopped tomatoes.
  •  Now add finally chopped green chillies, green coriander, chaat masala and salt.
  • Mix well, now add yogurt/lemon juice and mix again.
  • Serve it.

TIPS

  • To make a delicious chaat make sure yogurt is not sweet and it should be thick.
  • Do not too much mix chaat when you added yogurt, mix well when you added all spices then add yogurt. It should prevent your chaat to be too much thin and watery.
  • When you added salt and spice in onion and tomatoes mixture do not leave it for a long period of time because onion leaves water and a smell.
  • Make chaat when you are going to serve it, it’s really delight dish and if it is left for a long time I starts to leave water, all your chaat become watery.
  • Make sure potatoes and boiled red bean, chickpeas are cooled well otherwise when you add warm they start to cook onion and tomatoes.
