Stage 2A – Either the lump is smaller than 2cm and has unfold to humor nodes within the axillaries fosse OR it’s larger than 2cm (but underneath 5cm) and hasn’t unfold to the humor nodes OR the cancer can’t be found within the breast however is within the humor nodes within the axillaries fosse.

Stage 2B – Either the lump is smaller than 5cm and has unfolded to the humor nodes within the axillaries fosse OR it’s larger than 5cm however hasn’t unfolded to the humor nodes within the axillaries fosse.

Stage three is split into 3 stages:

 

Stage 3A – Either the cancer can’t be found within the breast or the lump is underneath 5cm and therefore the cancer is within the humor nodes within the axillaries fosse, that are stuck along OR the lump is larger than 5cm and has unfold to the humor nodes.

Stage 3B – The cancer has unfolded to tissue close to the breast and should be connected to encompassing skin or muscle. There ar sometimes cancer cells within the humor nodes within the axillaries fosse still.

Stage 3C – The cancer has unfolded to humor nodes within the axillaries fosse, below the os, close to the neck or underneath the clavicle.

 TNM staging system

The number stage is combined with a letter system referred to as TNM, which provides the whole stage of the cancer:

 

T describes the dimensions of the tumor.

N describes whether or not the cancer has unfolded to the humor nodes and that nodes are concerned. For instance, N0 isn't any humor nodes affected whereas N1 means that there are cancer cells within the humor nodes.
