Stevens wins Judo silver in Rio!

Posted on at

Bouncer Chronicles would like to congratulate Travis Stevens for winning a silver medal in Judo at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janero, Brazil! He came up just short of winning his final match for the gold medal against Russia's Khasan Khalmurzeav.

This is the first silver medal for the men's team since Jason Morris accomplished the same feat at the 1992 games in Barcelona. Stevens is also a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Renzo Gracie and John Danaher. Stevens is also the fourth New York Athletic Club (NYAC) athlete so far to win a medal at the Rio games!
