Rules

1. INTRODUCTION
This document describes the official rules of the ÉCU Film Festival T-Shirt Design Contest. The objective of this Contest is to show off your creativity and promote the ÉCU film festival through your design. The winning design will be printed as the official ÉCU T-Shirt as an exclusive item. To the extent of any inconsistencies, these rules prevail.

2. ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open only to individuals who are at least 18 years of age.

3. CONTEST PERIOD
Submissions for the contest are opened from 24th January- 13th February 2011.
Voting period begins the 14th of February and closes 21st of February.
The winner will be announced 22nd of February.

4. HOW TO ENTER
Please send an email to info@ecufilmfestival.com, with your name, contact information and your design either JPG or PDF. NOTE- subject of the email must say T-Shirt Contest.
There is no fee to enter the Contest.

5. SUBMISSION CRITERIA
The Entrant can submit only one design. All entries must meet specific design criteria to be accepted into the contest:
a) location of the images ÉCU and G-Tech logos (which can be downloaded from here: www.ecufilmfestival.com/en/t-shirt-design-contest/) are not regulated, but should be fitted within a max area of 10” x 10” (25.4 cm x 25.4 cm);
b) all contest entries must be submitted as JPG or PDF;
c) winning design must be created using a scalable vector graphics (“SVG”) program such as Adobe®, Illustrator®, or Inkscape (an open source SVG program);

6. PRIZES
There is one (1) winner.
The prizes are non-transferable and no substitution by winner or cash equivalent is permitted.
Prizes:
a) the winning design will be printed as the official ÉCU t-shirt;
b) 5 free t-shirts;
c) 2 VIP tickets to the festival- free entry to all films, events and afterparties;
d) promotion of the designer of ÉCU’s various networks

7. JUDGING AND SELECTION OF WINNER
The winner of the contest is going to be chosen by Facebook fans of The European Independent Film Festival. The design which recieves the most “likes” is the winner of the contest.

8. REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES
By participating in the Contest, the Entrant warrants and represents:
(a) he/she is the sole and exclusive owner of (and free of any adverse claim by any person, firm, or corporation) all intellectual property rights in and to the Entry;
(b) the Entry is not obscene or libelous, does not contain defamatory or derogatory remarks, and does not violate any rights of any third party, including but not limited to rights of privacy or publicity;

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Any submission idea, documentation, photograph or video entered in this contest shall remain the exclusive property of sponsor. The Entrant agrees that the sponsor and its designees shall have the perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable right to edit, publish and use these materials in any way and in any and all media now or hereafter known for trade, advertising, promotional and/or other purposes as the sponsor may determine in its sole discretion without further consideration to entrant or winner. The Entrant agrees to assign all rights, title and interest in and to the submission, including copyright, to Sponsor and waives his/her moral rights in the submission.
