Darbar Harmandir Sahib is known as the Golden Temple because of its novel features.the gurdwara is constructed of white marble overlaid with gold leaf and stands in the center of a sarovar, or pool of new, clear, sagacious water which is fed by the River Ravi, and said by some to begin from the Ganges River. Visitors collect inside the gurdwara to love, listen to melodies, and hear the favored scripture of the Guru Granth Sahib read. The splendid gurdwara has four entryways, one on every one side, which are a regular welcome to all persons paying little admiration to rank, class, shade, or conviction. An augmentation connects from the gurdwara to the Akal Takhat, the speaking to gathering of religious force for Sikhs. The Guru Granth is kept in the Akal Takhat dusk.

The haven's structural arranging draws on both Hindu and Muslim stunning styles yet identify with a novel coevolution of the two. In the midst of the guideline of Maharaja Ranjit Singh (1780-1839), Hari Mandir was sumptuously ornamented with marble models, splendid overlaying, and unlimited measures of important stones. Inside the asylum, on a jewel studded stage, lies the Adi Grantha, the blessed scripture of the Sikhs. This scripture is a social event of respectful verses, petitions to God, and hymns framed by the ten Sikh experts and distinctive Muslim and Hindu paragons of devotion. Beginning at an adolescent hour in the morning and persevering until long past sunset, these hymns are rambled to the dazzling reinforcement of woodwinds, drums, and stringed instruments. Resounding over the peaceful lake, this enchantingly stunning music induces a delicate yet powerful state of trance in the voyagers strolling lazy around the marble concourse including the pool and haven. An underground spring feeds the blessed lake, and for the term of the day and night, explorers submerges themselves in the water, a normal cleansing of the soul instead of a genuine washing of the body. By the asylum complex are enormous pioneers' residences and devouring entryways where all persons, autonomous of race, religion, or sexual introduction, are held up and supported for nothing out of pocket.
