The Area of the Khewara salt mine is around 110sq miles and the current mine length is round about 300km. Its discovery by Alexander's troops in 320BC but according to the resident of the area this salt mine started 300 to 400 year ago.

 

This Khewara Salt mine is located in Punjab province and the distance from Islamabad city is about 200 km.The Khewara salt mine has 600 million tons of salt reserves and the mine comprises 19 stories .The temprature of the mine is 18 to 20 cel.
