The Movie Rudy!

Posted on at

hey just added this streaming on Netflix and I watched it yesterday, again. I've seen that movie a dozen times if I've seen it once.

And, like seeing it for the first time - I started crying half way through and didn't much stop until the end. And I'm *not* a crier by nature.

I.
Love.
That.
Movie.

I said to a friend of mine a few weeks ago that what I loved the most about human beings is their indignance.

That may sound odd, but bare with me. He made it to where he did because of all the people that told him he couldn't. That he wasn't bright enough to make it. Wasn't athletic enough to make it. It was out of his league.

Indignance saw him through.

Seriously, if you haven't seen this movie - based on a true story - it's worth the two hours time.

Plus, and I understand this is a world wide site, so please don't take offense to this - but it screams "America" to me.

[Which, I am well aware that there are people of strong passions and convictions EVERYWHERE.]

THAT is what gets me every single time though. I'm a sucker for the 'something from nothing' theme.

Here's the irony, I'm stoic about a whole lot of things. I'm GREAT in a crisis. None of that phases me - this movie though? Done.
/laughs

Worth.
Watching.
