This bed will make you no choice but get up on time

In a typical example of how technology changes people’s lives, a British man named Colin Furze has caused a buzz online with his invention of a high voltage ejector bed that could have the laziest people get up on time in the morning.

Linked to an alarm clock and some other alerting devices, the bed, once powered up, will directly fire people into the air when the alarm rings. With changes in power, it could throw people into the air towards different heights.

“If you put it on full power, it would even pummel you against the wall…” Daily Mail quoted Furze as saying on Monday.

To keep it stable, Furze made the frame of the bed using strong aluminum, according to the report. He also attached an air compressor to two pipes with solenoid valves on the end – all of which was assembled safely under the bed.

Two large pistons were then built in order to lift the bed up at different speeds. The power of it is controlled by a switch.

As pictures of the creative invention began circulating online, discussions have heated up on China’s Twitter-like Sina Weibo, with some worrying about its safety.

“Well, it will then become a shocking experience to wake up every morning,” posted a user named @Manbanpai0516.

“I’m just wondering… will I wake up alive if using this?” joked @Fuqianqian.
