HBO’s “True Blood” drew a season-high 4 million viewers Sunday night for its final episode, which predictably involved copious amounts of blood.
The dark and tangled drama that helped kick off TV’s recent vampire craze wrapped up a seven-season run with its 80th episode, which resolved the love story between the mostly human Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) and the vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer, Paquin’s real-life husband).
The series had lost some popularity since its third and fourth seasons, when it peaked around 13 million viewers a week.
